Why I Chose to Study Japanese

I chose to study Japanese because I wanted to explore my heritage. I am half Japanese and I have always wanted to be proficient in reading and writing. I feel like studying the language will allow me to become literate in Japanese which is an important goal in life for me. Taking this class has helped me become more comfortable in reading and writing Japanese. The biggest challenge in this course for me is the writing aspect. Writing in Japanese is difficult because it requires a keen eye. All the special rules regarding spelling and grammar are difficult yet enjoyable to learn.

You are right. Writting in Japanese may be more difficult than other countries
because it has three characters. Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji.
It is difficult for the foreigner, but you can do it!

    おたがいにがんばろう!
